We wrap up the day at the UK VMUG event with us all being back together for a show
We had a great community round table session with plenty of input so tune in and hear about where we thought the industry was going
On day two of VMworld Barcelona 2017, our team of intrepid podcasters were able to catch up with Chief Operating Officer of Customer Operations, Sanjay Poonen, for a chat about life, careers, cloud architecture, VMware strategy and the startup space!
The title does kind of give it away, but the co-hosts of our humble little community podcast were fortunate to spend 40 minutes or so this week with VMware’s CEO, Pat Gelsinger. We discussed his journey into to VMware, the difficulties of maintaining a healthy work/life balance, gender equality in the workplace, the transition from traditional licensing models, the future of SDDC and much, much more!
So Gareth was lucky enough to catch up with many of the people of the VMTN community at VMworld 2017. Listen in as there is an exclusive vExpert announcement from Corey (@vCommunityGuy) of which got some of us quite excited.

We also managed to catch up with the following people too if you want to go follow them
NOTE:– Another edit may come out with enhanced audio…. Gareth wanted to get this out for people to listen to on the commute to VMWorld Europe whilst he figures out how to get rid of box fan noise without losing vocals….
So myself (Gareth), Kyle Jenner (@kylejenneruk) and Chris Porter @uprightvinyl talking about the crowning of Chris as VDM005. We also cover off our thoughts of the 2017 season and what we have learnt along the way with how things are going to go forward.
